Artwork

Colour
Set your artwork to CMYK rather than RGB to avoid unexpected colour shifts. Canva designs are RGB by default, so correct export settings are important (see Canva instructions below).
Bleed

Include a 3 mm bleed on every edge of your artwork.
Keep key text safely inside a 4 mm margin from the edge.

Preferred: PDF/X (best for print).
Also accepted: PDF, AI and EPS 
Avoid files with: spot UV layers, transparency issues, low resolution, or RGB colour profiles.
Canva Artwork

Many customers design with Canva, these files print well if exported correctly.

Set your canvas to (example) 85 × 55 mm 

Export settings:

  • Go to File → Show Print Bleed and stretch images/colour beyond the bleed line.
  • Keep text inside the safe zone.
  • Export using PDF Print with “Crop marks & bleed” enabled.
  • Avoid exporting as PNG or JPG for printing.

Common Canva problems we can fix:

  • White edges caused by missing bleed.
